Data Analyst CV Example

A Data analyst collects numerical information through researching and using this information to present to companies in the form of graphs, charts, tables and reports as required. To be a good Data Analyst you will usually come from a strong mathematical background and also have excellent IT skills as this role combines both areas.

You will need to be a logical thinker in the way that you work and have a high degree of accuracy and be able to explain numerical information clearly to people who may not have the same understanding as you.

PERSONAL PROFILE

I have a very logical mind and methodical way of working. I enjoy working out problems and solving things like puzzles in my free time. I have great attention to detail and enjoy working with numbers in a mathematical way.

I can analyse trends and produce charts and tables to show the results and am able to explain these to people with no mathematical background in a manner they understand.

I feel that I have excellent communication skills and a good ability to present my data findings carefully. I am able to work on multiple projects and tasks at once and like to work as part of a wider team even though I largely work on my own initiative due to the nature of my work.

In my role as a Data Analyst, I enjoy working with numerical information and solving mathematical
problems. My key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and presenting technical information in a non technical manner in various reporting styles, charts etc
  • Analyzing and researching the market for trends and consumer feedback
  • Analyzing and researching trends to help businesses make better decisions
  • Predicting the future demands

QUALIFICATIONS

University, College, School – For all include titles/subjects and qualifications
As a Data Analyst you will normally come from a Mathematical background so it is important to highlight the level you are at within mathematics.

Computer skills – MS Office, Excel, ability to produce reports, charts and diagrams to present results and data.
