If you are interested in updating your CV for a Medical Receptionist role then you will have a solid background in reception work but ideally with some medical knowledge.
As a Medical Receptionist you will need to deal with phone calls coming into the surgery or practice usually from patients but also you will need to be able to communicate face to face. You will also make outbound calls to medical professionals as well as patients and need to be able to send of tests and give people test results etc.
You will need to have a confidential and professional nature and by having some experience of medical jargon including products, it will help you when liaising with different people. Combined with reception experience you will also have strong administration skills and be able to operate a computer efficiently and learn new systems quickly.
