An IT Technician will help support an IT department in technical aspects from building and fixing new systems, to improving IT equipment and testing and analysing its usage.

I am a technical person who has built up a career in IT and now pride myself on being a good Technician. I like to work hands on and also manage projects from conception to delivery.
I like to keep up to date with all IT systems, processes and equipment and do my best to learn everything I can to ensure that I am as experienced as I possibly can be.
I have excellent communication skills and believe that I can explain and describe technical issues and ways of working to non technical people so that they understand, through not using IT jargon.

In my role as IT Technician I work with my colleagues and clients to ensure that we come up with new better ways of working using the best equipment for the jobs. My responsibilities include:
- Fix and repair faulty equipment
- Tweak equipment to work as the company requires
- Research new products
- Test and analyse new products and systems
- Liaise with clients on what their requirements are
- Write up reports.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer skills – MS Office, Excel???, Specific software and systems, languages and programs.
Specific IT skills – any special courses that you have attended, specific equipment that you are trained to use etc.
