If you are looking to become a Dental receptionist then you will need to come from a reception, admin or customer services environment to have the same skills that will be required from this role. Ideally you would have some prior knowledge of the dental industry or a strong willingness to learn.
The role of Dental Receptionist will be to take bookings from patients, find out what treatment they require and to ensure they book additional appointments when advised or required.

You will need to have a professional and caring manner about you as a lot of people do not like going to the dentist and you will also be dealing with children so it is important to be able to put these people at ease.
