To be a qualified Barrister you will need to have completed a degree in Law to learn the basics then specialise through a thorough training course as a Barrister followed by a period of practical experience. A Barrister will do a lot of public speaking so therefore you will need to have a confident manner in front of people as you will be dealing with your clients, representing them in a court room setting and also dealing with other legal professionals.
Barristers have to work to a code of practice and you will need to very confidential in your work and you will have to be sensitive to the information you receive as some could be very delicate indeed.
