CAD Technician CV Example

If you are a qualified trained CAD Technician then you will be responsible for making drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.

These designs are used for diagrams and drawings of a technical nature so you will need to be able to pay great attention to detail and sure that you have a good background in maths and IT as you will need to understand how things are built and made to be able to produce drawings of this type.
You could work in a number of industries such as engineering, construction and manufacturing doing CAD drawings as a Technician.

PERSONAL PROFILE

I am an experienced CAD Technician with a strong background in IT and Maths. I enjoy working in a Technical manner and have a strong attention span and like to concentrate fully on a project from conception to delivery.

I have a good knowledge of the principles of engineering design and feel that I understand and interpret drawings well. I am able to solve mental arithmetic problems and feel that I have a good level of technical understanding.

I am an excellent communicator and feel that I work well on my own initiative as well as part of a wider team. I am looking to develop my career and to continue learning. I work well to tight deadlines and always ensure that the project work and designs I do are well thought out and planned to perfection.

In my role as a CAD Technician, I do technical drawings and designs specific to the piece of equipment or machinery. My responsibilities include:

2d and 3d Design – Surface and Solid modeling
Present design plans to the project team
Tweak and make changes to the designs before it is sent to the engineers team to be built/made
Help to prepare estimates for project costs associated with the drawings
Explain technical aspects to my team and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer skills – MS Office, Excel??? Specific CAD software? IT skills?
Training courses that you have been on yourself, specific to CAD software.
