Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for the role of Airport Traffic Controller
I would like to apply for the role of Airport Traffic Controller that I have seen advertised in (where) and (when).
Having spent (how long?) in training for the role of Airport Traffic Controller I am now ready to do this role properly for my career and have been successful in gaining my Air Traffic Control licence which allows me to operate in this field.
During my training, I have assisted pilots in taking off and landing planes safely and also coordinating routes and timetables to allow planes to be flying a safe distance apart at all times. I have witnessed a number of events and situations and understand the importance of ensuring that the aircraft are controlled efficiently and that there is no margin for error in this role.
I have always wanted to have a challenging career and feel that I have found my match. I have excellent problem solving ability and feel that this is the reason why I enjoy the career I have chosen. I am very excited to get going and progress through my career.
I am based (how far from the airport in question) and have calculated that it should only take me (how long) to reach the airport for my shifts.
I have enclosed my latest CV which details my experiences. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and CV.
Yours sincerely
