Meter Reader Cover Letter Example

If you have seen a role as a Meter reader which you would like to apply for then you will understand that you will be travelling to houses reading people’s meters and documenting as appropriate.

You will need to have good knowledge of local areas and be confident in dealing with people and locations to find the information from the meters that you need.

Application for a Meter Reader

I would like to apply for the role of a Meter reader which you have advertised in (where) and (when).
I have had previous experience of doing a similar role whereby I travelled to people’s houses and to businesses so I am familiar with finding different locations and dealing with the difficulties or entering a property or premises with dogs, security gates etc.

I feel that I am an organised and thorough worker who has always worked to targets and likes to achieve beyond my target each day, week or month.

I am a confident communicator and enjoy meeting different people but appreciate that the majority of my roles have been working alone and I am happy to work on my own initiative.

I have researched into your company and feel that I could pick the knowledge up quickly and am happy to learn anything I need to do ensure that I do the role effectively.
