If you have found a Training Manager role that you would like to apply for then you may have completed a CPD qualification in Training and Development and you could be a Training Manager for a company to train staff on internal roles and procedures or you could be training people at a college on various courses. As a Training Manager you will oversee the Training department, organising the Training programmes, updating course content, assessing applicants, managing the staff and the department. The role is very varied and one that will require a great degree of common sense to be able to do many roles within one role.
If you are happy that this is the role you want to apply for and are looking for an example cover letter, please see the below example which you can use as a guide.

Dear Mrs Smith
Application for the role of Training Manager
I would like to apply for the role of Training Manager which you have got advertised in (what publication, when and any job reference).
I am qualified to CPD level and have been working as a Training Officer of a secretarial college for many years and I am now looking to move to the next level in my career and I am very interested in the role that you have advertised.
I have experience in dealing with students from age 16+ and my role involves processing their new starter details, getting them registered on a course, ensuring they have the correct details including course timetable. I also plan my training content and regularly update the content that I use to make it adaptable and in line with the content that they need to be following.
I feel that I have had a lot of experience with training people and feel that I have excellent communication skills and am able to relate well to most people of all different ages.
I am very thorough, adaptable and always happy to help people who do not understand first time. I am very organised and dedicated to learning and am looking forward to a long career in Training.
I have enclosed my up to date CV along with my CPD and any other relevant qualifications. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer anything you may want to know.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and CV.
