Resignation Letter Example Without Notice Period

Use this sample letter of resignation as a guideline for resigning from your job. This is a general, all-purpose sample letter of resignation that can be used for most circumstances.

It’s always a difficult letter to write but when you are going to be giving no notice period too then the letter is even more difficult because it will instantly be confrontational towards your Manager or the person who you are handing your notice.

Think carefully before deciding to give no notice as usually you are stipulated to a notice period as part of your contract of employment and you want things to end on a good note despite leaving.

You could have a valid reason for not being able to work your notice, such as a family illness or bereavement etc but if you are just wanting to start a new or better job quicker then please think carefully.

The below letter is an example of how you should write your resignation letter.

Whenever possible, you should give your employer a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice before leaving your job. It is considered a professional courtesy. There are times, however, when circumstances beyond your control necessitate an immediate resignation. The resignation letter example below can be used in these instances.
