Field Engineer CV Example

A Field Engineer will spend the bulk of his/her time on the road traveling to see customers/clients and to install, repair and provide advice on the area that they are experienced in.

You will need to be as highly qualified as you can be in your chosen career but also you will need excellent communication skills, a good head for planning and be prepared to work long hours and travel long distances in some instances to reach your customers or clients.

In my role as Field Engineer, it is my responsibility to ensure that I get through my calls to clients/customers each day and fix or install their products as required. My responsibilities include:
Visiting sites and assessing the installation or repair requirements
Risk assessments and health and safety
Ordering products and parts
Discussing solutions and potential problems with customers in a non technical manner
Maintaining accurate records
Writing reports and providing a plan for installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

University, College, School – For all include titles/subjects and qualifications – any Engineering courses/qualifications.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer skills – MS Office, Excel??? Do you use any specific programs or in house programs that would be relevant to this role.
