If you are looking to be a Distribution Manager then you will more than likely have worked in a warehouse or distribution centre and developed your skills over the years.

The role of a Distribution Manager is one where you will ensure the smooth running of the Distribution centre whilst managing all elements from goods in, to goods out, to ensuring the stock is in the right location that the equipment is working to ensure maximum efficiency.

Application for a Distribution Manager

I have seen your recent advert for a Distribution Manager in (which publication and when) and I would like to apply for this role.

I began my career in a retail environment, on the shop floor and then moved into a warehouse. Since then, I have developed my skills in a busy warehouse from using scanners to book stock out of the warehouse to liaising with drivers and couriers taking the deliveries from the warehouse.

I enjoy working in a warehouse and feel that after the supervisory skills that I am now ready for a fresh challenge and I was particularly interested when seeing this role advertised.

I am hard working, have good warehouse knowledge and have a proven background in this environment. I have made some good contacts over the years and feel able to come up with new suggestions to be able to improve efficiency. I am qualified in health and safety and feel that I take this very seriously and have never had any issues in a warehouse that I have been responsible for.
