Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for a Web Editor

I have recently seen your advert for a Web Editor advertised in (where and when) and I would like to apply for this role.

My background is from Marketing, I (did you study it at University? If so name the course here and maybe even what grade you got) and I have always had a passion for writing. I have been fortunate in gaining experience in writing about (name the topics, subject, industry here) and feel that I am able to write about most subjects.

I enjoy researching all I can about a particular subject to ensure that I have the correct information and I enjoy editing and proof reading documents to ensure that it captures the target audience and keeps my readers interested and wanting to keep reading more.

I am a very driven person with a keen passion in Marketing and Editing and feel that I can work well on my own initiative as well as part of a team.

I have enclosed my CV with this letter as well as some examples of my work that may be of interest to you. I have researched your company and I feel that with the skills and experience I have already gained that I could be of benefit to you and become an asset to your company.

If you have any questions that you would like to ask me, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for taking the time to read my application and I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Yours sincerely
