If you are interested in being a Transport Administrator then you will have a good solid history of administration but also within the Transport world.
A Transport administrator will organise various deliveries through vans or wagons and arrange different pickup times, locations, drop-offs etc. You will need to be exceptionally organised to do this role as you could be asking the driver to do many stops or very long trips.
If you have found a role that you are interested in applying for, please see the below covering letter example as a guide.

Application for the role of Transport Administrator
I would like to apply for the role of Transport Administrator which I have seen advertised in (which publication and when).
I have worked in an administrative capacity for over 5 years now in warehouse and distribution environments doing similar duties to that of a Transport administrator which is why I am interested in this role.
I have been used to arranging deliveries and booking time slots and organising pickups for various locations and times and ensuring that they all match up well and that everything runs efficiently and on time and within the company budget.
I am a very organised person; I like to double check my work and find that I am very thorough in everything that I do. I pay attention to detail at all times and enjoy working on my own initiative as well as with a bigger team. I understand the importance of not making mistakes when it comes to deliveries.
I have enclosed my CV for your consideration. Should you have any questions regarding my skills, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and CV. I look forward to hearing from you.
