If you are looking to apply for a Technician role and want to update your CV to show your skills and experiences then you will need to focus on what you have done in previous roles and try and look at the job description or the advert of the role you are looking to apply for so that you can incorporate some of the same buzz words that the company uses to allow them to instantly see that you match what they are looking for.

I am a hands on person who has always strived to be a good Technician Engineer. After undergoing my training and qualifications, I did some work experience to ensure that I learnt everything that I could in my field.

I am an organized individual who pays extreme attention to detail. I pride myself on having good communication skills and being able to talk to people about technical matters in a non technical way so that they understand.

I am self motivated, I like to organize my own schedule and I enjoy working as part of a team as well as on my own initiative. I love new challenges and I love to learn new skills.

In my role as Technician Engineer, I look at detailed plans and discuss these with my clients and team with a view to ensuring the parts work as they are supposed to. My responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Engineers and Scientists in solving problems
  • Conduct tests
  • Analyse and fix products
  • Write technical reports and be able to explain these to a wider group
  • Work in line with standards and operating practices
  • Keep up to date on all health and safety aspects
  • Attend meetings internally and externally about new products and ways of doing things.

QUALIFICATIONS

University, College, School – For all include titles/subjects and qualifications.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer skills – MS Office, Excel??? Anything relevant, industry specific packages?
Special engineering packages used to analyse, conduct tests etc.
