If you are looking to work as a Tax adviser then you will need to be able to advise your clients when they need to pay their taxes on time. You will provide advice and support to your clients on tax issues and be able to explain to them what they need to do and when to avoid any penalties etc.
Usually to do the role of Tax Adviser you need to be a member of the CIOT (Chartered Institute of Taxation) and you will have completed your ATT qualifications and have a good general standard of Education and have at least three years of relevant work experience in this industry. Your main job is to make sure that your client pays the right amount to the taxman! You will also make sure that your clients are not paying too much either tax by advising them the right ways.
Salaries:
Tax adviser starting salaries are between £19,000 and £25,000 a year.
Experienced and qualified advisers salaries are between £25,000 to £35,000 a year.
Senior advisers can earn £35,000 to £50,000 a year.
