If you are looking to find a role as a Store person then you will usually have some experience in retail, working in a store situation. Working as a Store person will depend on the product the store sells such as fashion, equipment etc. If you have particular experience in that area then this will work as an advantage when applying for a role. You will also be required to have some good customer service skills.
If you are looking for help on writing a covering letter, please see the below letter which you can use as a guide.
Cover Letter for Store Person
Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for a Store Person
I would like to apply for the role of a Store Person as I have seen advertised in (where) and (when).
I have a good background in customer services and retail having worked in shops for (how long, if true). I enjoy working in a retail environment and feel that with the experience I have gained, I have some good skills which will be helpful in doing this role. (Can you explain what your specific experience relates to e.g.: worked in a footwear store before and this role is for a fashion retail store).
I believe that I have excellent communication and customer service skills and enjoy helping and serving customers and them leaving the store happy with their purchase and likely to return. I believe that providing good customer service is one of the main reasons customers return.
(Have you been on any courses that are relevant to the skills they are looking for in this role?)
I have enclosed my CV with my letter which details my experiences but I am happy to answer any questions you may have and I can attend an interview at short notice.
In the meantime thank you for taking the time to read my application and I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours sincerely
