If you are seeking a new role as a Software tester then you will be a very experienced software engineer who has previously done some software testing and be able to work with a number of software professionals and have an understanding of how things work and how they are made so that you can properly test the software before unleashing it onto the general public or whoever it has been written for.
You may come from a computer science background with a major software element and you will need to have a good knowledge and experience of different programming languages and to be able to program too so that you understand what you are testing.
