If you are looking to apply for a job as a Sexual Health Adviser then you will have completed your training and be experienced in providing advice to mainly adults and teenagers on
sexual health, the precautions including contraception and any diseases that can be caught and treatments available.You will need to be an excellent communicator to do this role well and be able to talk about topics that are sometimes avoided. I would like to apply for the role of Sexual Health Adviser as I have seen advertised in (where and when).
I have been advising on health issues for (how long and what about) and more recently I have done some training in sexual health and incorporating that into the services we provide. I now would like to do this role full time and am very interested in your role.
I have been used to advising young teenagers who have maybe already had children and looking to use contraception from now on, adults who have made mistakes and need to have some tests done and advice for the future. I like to help these people and want to make sure that they don’t feel as bad as they feel when they come to see me and can turn their lives around if they have made a previous mistake. I have also had some involvement with people with HIV and helping them with their medication.
