In my role as Security Guard, I am responsible for ensuring the safety of everything around me and my duties are as follows:

patrolling, securing and monitoring the premises
monitoring the CCTV and ensuring it is working well and up to date recording
guarding valuables, money etc within the building
ensuring that visitors are checked before and after entry and are appropriately signed in and out
performing regular walk about checks outside and inside
updates with colleagues on swopping over shifts
Ensuring the paperwork is kept up to date and accurate records kept
Liaising with the police and other authorities and doing reports and acting as a witness.

QUALIFICATIONS

College, School – For all include titles/subjects and qualifications.

Any security courses, how to handle yourself, equipment, any training you may have had relevant.

Computer skills – MS Office, Excel??? – Think about the records you will be keeping and how this will be done, using a computer and/or manually.
