As a paralegal you will get to work on a number of cases but not as a qualified solicitor. This is usually a good way into becoming a solicitor and doing the essential training and qualifications. You will need to have an excellent standard of English and a good general education.
The variety of work that you will do will depend on your experience already but researching cases and finding out information is a big part of any case and will fall under your remit as well as interviewing clients and more general administrative duties.
To write a covering letter to support your application please see below example.
Cover Letter: Paralegal
Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for a Paralegal
I have recently seen your advert for a Paralegal and I would like to submit my CV in application of this role.
I have always had a keen interest in Law and after finishing school have done some experience at a law firm performing researching and administrative tasks for the solicitors and I now feel as though I would like to do the role of a Paralegal and would be very keen to do some qualifications also as law is my career path.
I understand that it is a long road and I am prepared to do whatever training I need to in order to be successful for myself and the law firm I work for.
I have had experience of dealing with the general people and dealing with queries and finding out information from them and feel that my communication skills are excellent.
I have a good understanding of the legal system and am keen to begin my paralegal training as soon as I possibly can. I am a very organised person who pays great attention to detail.
Should you be interested in my skills and experience please do not hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
