As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of a building or a group of buildings depending on whether you work for a company supplying maintenance or whether you work for a company conducting maintenance.
Whichever role you will play as a Maintenance Technician you will need to be good at liaising with suppliers and finding the best ways to provide maintenance and repair broken or well needed things in a building.
It will also be part of your role to follow the health and safety requirements and ensure that a building follows these practices and is safe for all of its uses.

In my role as Technician Engineer, I look at detailed plans and discuss these with my clients and team with a view to ensuring the parts work as they are supposed to. My responsibilities include:
- Meet with clients to discuss requirements of their maintenance contracts
- Fix and repair items that need maintaining
- Keep up to date with health and safety and follow the procedures and processes
- Write detailed plans and reports for maintenance contracts.
