Librarian Cover Letter Example

If you are looking to be a Librarian then you will have a keen interest in books of all kinds and be a very organised person. The role of a Librarian consists of organising books in a library, providing advice to the public on where to find a book, what type of book if they are unsure of what they are looking for and have a good general knowledge of books in general. You may read a great deal as part of this role so having a keen interest in books if essential.

You should have good customer skills to work as a Librarian. There are two ways to become a Librarian, you can either study at a university for a qualification or work as a Library Assistant.

I have always had a keen interest in books since an early age and combined with my exceptionally organised nature I have always wanted to work in a library surrounded by books and helping to guide people to books that they are looking for or they made need for research purposes.

I have had some experience of working in a local book shop and I have enjoyed seeing the variety of books coming in and out of the store and I feel that I have gained good customer service experience due to my time there.

I am now seeking a more book focused role rather than a selling aspect and feel that I would work well in a library. I am hard working, organised and dedicated to my work.
