Updated on: January 14, 2022

If you are looking to be a Librarian then you will have a keen interest in books of all kinds and be a very organised person. You may read a great deal as part of this role so having a keen interest in books is essential.

You should have good customer skills to work as a Librarian. There are two ways to become a Librarian, you can either study at a university for a qualification or work as a Library Assistant.

I have always had a keen interest in books since an early age and combined with my exceptionally organised nature I have always wanted to work in a library surrounded by books and helping to guide people to books that they are looking for or they made the need for research purposes.

I have had some experience of working in a local book shop and I have enjoyed seeing the variety of books coming in and out of the store and I feel that I have gained good customer service experience due to my time there.

I am now seeking a more book focused role rather than a selling aspect and feel that I would work well in a library. I am hardworking, organised and dedicated to my work.

Yours sincerely
