LGV Driver Cover Letter Example

If you are looking to be a Large Goods Vehicle Driver (LGV, also known as an HGV Driver) then you will drive company vehicles over the weight of 7.5 tonnes.

Your role will be to work with your Transport Manager to plan the routes and drop-offs that are effective and within time constraints and then you would take deliveries to the correct places and unload and return to base. You could be working long hours and wither during the day or the night depending on the location where you need to go and what is more effective within the time constraints of the job and also the traffic.

Application for the role of a Large Goods Vehicle Driver

I would like to apply for the role of a Large Goods Vehicle Driver (LGV) which I have seen advertised in (which publication, when and any job reference).

I have had my LGV licence for (how long) which is clean and I enjoy driving for a living. I have experience of working away from home for long periods of time and also working at night and I have no restrictions to do this.

I am very thorough with checking my vehicles including the brakes, oil, water etc and ensuring that my vehicle is safe at all times as I will be travelling a lot of miles I want it to be very efficient. I have a valid passport and have frequently taken loads to Ireland and across the channel and am happy to do this also.
