Job Rejection Letter Example

If you have carefully decided that you do not want to accept a job offer then you need to word your letter carefully and considerately. Remember that you need to have good reasons for rejecting a job. You may have found a better and different job but still, consider the time that people have taken to assess your application, arrange to interview you and decide that they would like to employ you. They will not be very happy that after all that process you are now not taking the job the have offered you and they have to start the whole process again.

Anyway decision made, ensure that you give the company a good explanation for this rejection and wish them well for the future.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you. I was very interested in working for your company and feel that you have got a very good and solid future in WHAT INDUSTRY.

I appreciate the time that you have taken in interviewing me and offering me this role and I am very sorry that it has not worked out this time. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this time and it was very nice to meet with you and your colleagues.
