As an IT Trainee, you will provide support of an IT nature to the business or clients that you work to. This will be under the guidance of other IT professionals to who you will learn from during your time as a Trainee.
You will need to have a keen interest in IT as well as a good understanding of computers and maybe how they work, how you can take one apart and put it back together to other things like setting up email accounts and new users.
IT covers a mix of other things such as dealing with telephone systems and other equipment, printers, photocopiers etc so it is important to have a good understanding of how technical things work.
You will also need to have good communication skills to do this role well and to be able to explain technical things to people with less of a technical nature, in a language and way that they understand.
