Usually you will come from a generalist background for this role and have a wide knowledge of HR and of dealing with staff and others in a business. You will need to be a confident communicator and very experienced in handling situations under pressure. You have to have wide range of management skills in order to become a HR Manager. This role is usually for graduates unless you have great deal of experience in this field.
Starting salary for newly graduated HR Managers are between £22,000 and £26,000 a year. Senior Managers can earn up to £80,000 a year starting from £35,000.

I would like to apply for the role of HR Manager which you have got advertised in (which publication and when).
I am a professional and experienced HR Manager with over 5 years experience in HR. I enjoy keeping up to date with HR changes and changes to policies and procedures and overall legislation.
I have a very general background in HR having dealt with the whole remit from recruitment stages upwards and have even had experience of preparing for a tribunal and providing representation on the day.
I am a confident communicator and enjoy working with others. I always have an open door policy and understand where my role fits in a business between the staff and the Directors.
