Newly started housing officers can earn up to £19,500 a year. Once you gained experience at this job then your earnings will be between £20,000 and £27,000 a year. Seniors can earn even more up to £35,000 a year.

I would like to apply for the role of Housing Officer which I have seen advertised in (where) and (when).
I have worked within the local council in a similar role dealing with administration and benefits and I would like a fresh challenge and feel that having researched the role of Housing officer that I would be interested to apply for this.
I have an excellent customer service and administration background and familiarity with the local council and how some of the benefits work. I currently interview and meet with people to discuss their needs and what we can do to help them and feel that my skills would cross over nicely.
I am a confident communicator who gets a thrill out of solving problems for people whilst working to very strict procedures and I feel able to make difficult decisions after analysing all the facts and ensuring that most people leave feeling happy and satisfied with the outcome.
As part of the role, I also understand that I will be required to visit properties and check against inventories and see if any damage and any repairs are needed to be done.
