If you are looking to be a Gas Engineer then you will need to be qualified to deal with Gas appliances and installing them in both residential and commercial properties.
You can study up to Level 3 NVQ and then go on to do further courses which allow you to be able to deal with emergency situations as depending on what level you are qualified up to, depends on what you can deal with and for who and when. This is very important.
If you work for a company then they will ensure you are qualified properly. If you work for yourself then it will be your responsibility to make sure that your qualifications and constantly up to date.

I have recently seen your advert for the role of Gas Engineer which I have seen advertised in (which publication and when). Please find enclosed my CV detailing my qualifications and experiences to date.
I have finished training as a Gas Engineer to Level 3 of NVQ and thoroughly enjoyed my time learning and training. I have also done some work experience through my training and now am very excited to find a role I can get involved in.
I am a very hands on person, hence my choice in career and I like to keep learning and updating my skills. I am a methodical person who enjoys working to a set of rules and procedures and working with Gas and Gas appliances means that you need to be strict following precautions at all times.
