If you have found a job as a Fork Lift Truck Operator that you want to apply for then you will already be qualified and have an applicable licence to be able to operate a Fork Lift Truck.
As a Forklift Truck operator, you will work in a warehouse or distribution centre setting unloading and loading from deliveries and putting the items into the correct locations or as close by so that they can be put away securely.
You will probably be given the training to be a forklift operator. You must complete the training with a passing point in order to operate a forklift. Previous experience is always an advantage however employers are still welcome inexperienced job seekers to apply for the jobs as training are provided.
Starting salaries for forklift operators are around £15,000 to £18,000 a year. With Experience, your earnings can rise up to between £19,000 to £24,000 a year. Other extra earnings are also possible including bonuses, night work allowances etc.
