Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for the role of Fingerprint Officer
I have recently seen your advert for the role of Fingerprint Officer and I would like to submit my letter and CV along with my application form for this role.
I have been working in the police force as you will see from my records since (what year) and I am now looking for a fresh challenge as a fingerprint officer.
I have had some experience of working on crime scenes gathering evidence with a view to catching criminals and I am now keen to analyse these findings and eliminate people not involved in the case.
I pay great attention to detail in my work; I can provide specialist advice to the teams dealing with the crime scene and am able to eliminate prints found at a scene which are not what we are looking for. It is a very specialised and important role and I would like to continue my career down this path.
I am dedicated to the police force, enjoy working in this environment and I am keen to do any training necessary to improve my skills for the better of the force and myself.
I have enclosed my CV which shows my previous roles and experiences. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can attend an interview at short notice.
I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours sincerely
