Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for a Financial Controller
I have recently seen your advert in (where) and (when) for a Financial Controller position and I am very interested in applying for this role.
My background is in finance having worked in a busy accounts department (what type of company if this is relevant) for X years (if this is true) and I feel that I am now ready for a bigger role and challenge and ability to manage a department of my own.
I have had some supervisory experience and feel that I could manage a department effectively having supervised my team in my previous role and managed their workload and the overall department.
I am a very organised person by nature and can stay calm when working under pressure. I also pay great attention to detail and always like to make sure that my work is checked at least once to ensure it is correct. I do not like things to be wrong.
I have good GCSE’s grades in English, Maths and IT. I feel that I am a confident communicator and able to make rational decisions on my own initiative. I like to work in both a team environment and on my own initiative.
I have enclosed my CV showing my detailed experience. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you in advance for reading my application.
Yours sincerely
