If you are looking to be an Event Planner then you will usually have done some kind of hospitality course or degree and have a good understanding of planning events. Companies requiring event planners usually need the planner to do exactly that, plan an event from beginning to end paying meticulous attention to detail on every aspect.
You will need to be highly organised, self motivated and have a real get up and go about yourself to do this role, you will often be working to tight deadlines and budgets and you will need to be able to keep calm under pressure as you will often be wearing many hats at once.

I am a very organised person who entered the world of planning events as I feel my organised nature allows me to deal with all the detail of a full event. To date I have organised international conferences, weddings, parties, meetings, annual debates, you can see on my CV for full detail of each of my projects and links to some of the events I have been responsible for.
I enjoy planning events and organising the people who work in the team to set it all up.
