If you are interested in being a Dental Technician then you can go into this role through on the job training supported by a college course. Usually dental practices take on people such as a dental technician to train with a fully qualified technician in their practice and you do your college course on day release or in the evenings and learn whilst on the job.
You will need to be a practical person to work in a dentistry environment and be ready to keep up to date on the latest dental practices including rules and regulations. You will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to put people at ease as a lot of people are nervous patients in a dental practice.

I have always had a keen interest in studying and learning about dentistry and have begun a course on dentistry to be a technician and I am now seeking to combine this with some practical experience and was very interested in your practice in (what area).
I am a practical person who likes to work hands on. I am interested in helping people to take care of their teeth and gums and ensure their oral hygiene is good and they know what they should be doing and what the should keep up to.
I am a positive person who is an excellent communicator. I feel that I have a good manner with people and that I can put them at ease in difficult situations for them.
