If you are looking for a Customer Services Assistant role then you will need experience of Customer Services either on a face to face basis or over the telephone.
Employers will be looking for excellent communication and listening skills and is able to talk to customers well and provide excellent customer service and resolve any problems that arise or escalate anything that needs to be dealt with by a Manager.
You will need to have an organised manner and be able to plan and prioritise your work load and be happy spending all day talking to customers and trying to get hold of them.

Date to Date or To Date – Customer Service Assistant – Where?
In my role as Customer Service Assistant I provide a telephone service for customers wishing to return items, buy items or gain information etc. My responsibilities include:
- Taking calls from customers and dealing with their requests effectively
- Making accurate logs on my calls and noting how many calls I have taken on a daily basis to match my targets
- Helping to reduce the call log of customers needing a response or feedback regarding their enquiry
- Sending anything out as per my conversation with a customer
- Issuing refunds or credits to people’s accounts
- Helping new staff in their learning program, acting as a mentor.
