Cover Letter Layouts
Dear Sir/Madam (unless you know the person specifically involved in the recruitment)
Application for (name of position)
I would like to apply for the role of (name of position) which I have seen advertised in (where and when). Please find enclosed my CV which details my skills and experiences.
(This first main paragraph needs to be about your skills and experiences which relate directly to the job, explain the main points of your most recent or relevant job and why you feel that you have the right skills for this role, look at what previous roles you have done and if and how they relate to this position, consider why you are seeking a new challenge and what you could bring to their company).
(This second paragraph needs to be able the skills that you have such as personal qualities eg: honesty, dedicated, trustworthy, organised, enthusiastic, hard-working, etc – you need to get across to a future potential employer what good qualities that you have that you think from doing your research that would appeal to their company and make them want to employ you.
Please find enclosed my CV which shows in detail my skills and experiences to date. I am happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding my experiences. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you be interested in my skills.
