Council Job Application Cover Letter Example

If you are looking for a role within the council then you will usually have to apply via an application form system, so any cover letter that you are sending with your application will be to support your application form rather than a CV.

With council roles, ensure that you only concentrate on what they are looking for in terms of skills and attributes. A cover letter to the council needs to mirror the requirements of the role so that they can instantly match up in their minds whether you are able to do the role they are looking for or not. There is a high demand for council jobs and there will be a lot of competition for the position you are interested in getting.
