If you have seen a Construction worker role that you are interested in applying for you may have previously worked on a construction site or be a very hands on person looking to start work on a construction site.

A construction worker will help on any type of building site doing duties such as clearing a site, laying out bricks, helping put up scaffolding, cement work, labouring work etc. You will need to be very hands on, physically fit and able to work outside in all kinds of temperatures and weather. Construction workers usually start very early in the morning especially in the summer when it gets hotter in the afternoon making it more difficult to work but may work long hours in order to ensure that a job gets completed on time and within budget.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for the role of Construction Worker

I would like to apply for the role of Construction Worker which I have seen advertised in (where) and (when).

I have done some previous work on construction sites and like to work in a hands on environment. To date, as you will see from my CV I have worked on many new build warehouses and business premises doing general labouring duties from fetching and carrying materials to helping to set up and take down scaffolding, securing the perimeter always ensuring that I follow strict health and safety procedures.

I am always keen to learn new skills and would like to continue my career in the construction industry and learn at the same time. I am very eager and committed and want to have a good all round skills base to which my employer finds useful.

I am meticulous to detail, like to work very hard and am able to work well with other team members to ensure that a project stays on time and runs smoothly.

I have enclosed my CV which shows the other sites that I have worked on in the past and the duties that I have worked on. If you have any questions about my skills and or experiences, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and CV.

Yours sincerely
