The role of a Compliance Manager is to ensure that the Compliance Team are ensuring that a company is following and complying with the policies and procedures within the business to make sure that a company is operating under safe procedures for itself and its staff. This could be in any business area depending on the company and their requirements.
As a Manager you will perform audits or inspections and oversee that the team are doing and following their own procedures.
Usually a compliance manager will be educated to degree level with some relevant industry experience. You will need to be a strong and effective communicator to do this role well.
