As a Commis Chef you would work in a busy kitchen supporting the Chef or Chefs depending on how big the kitchen is. You will be provided with on the job training from the Chefs
and use this period to learn as many different skills and ways of cooking as you can. To do this job well you will need to have a keen interest in good quality food and new ways and new dishes.A trainee chef salary can be around £13,000 a year. Section chefs salary can be around £16,000 a year. There are different type of chefs and the salaries are vary depending on the experience and your job title.
You should be interested with food industry, love cooking and be creative in order to become a Chef.
Chefs would work weekends, evenings, early mornings and on public holidays.
