Application for the role of Commis Chef
I would like to apply for the role of Commis Chef at your restaurant (name) which I have seen advertised in (where) and (when).
I have always had a passion for food and since an early age have been experimenting with recipes and different foods and I like to spend time doing this. I am a perfectionist and like to work in a clean and tidy kitchen and I always clean as I go along not leaving a huge pile of washing up till the end.
I would like to have a long career now and train properly as a Chef and feel that with my passion and experience so far that I could do a good job as a Commis Chef.
I am a hard worker, very organised and a stickler for attention to detail and I feel that these skills are good in a kitchen setting. I enjoy working as part of a wider team but I am also very capable of working on my own initiative.
I have enclosed my latest CV for your interest. If you have any further questions about my skills and experiences, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Thanking you in advance for taking the time to read my letter and CV.
Good luck with writing your covering letter.
