If you have found a job that you want to apply for as a Yard person then you will usually have some knowledge or a background in working outdoors in a hands on environment. As a Yard person you could be looking after a site, providing maintenance for a site or repairs etc, your role will be varied and you will need to be good with DIY and repairing and building small items.
If you are working as yard operative then your salary would be between £12,000 and £16,000 a year. With forklift qualification your earnings can be between £15,000 and £18,000 a year. If you are a supervisor then expect earning up to £20,000 a year.
