Art Director Cover Letter Example

As an Art Director you could work in a number of different settings from a school, university, art gallery, college etc. You will need to be degree educated in Art and have a good working knowledge and experience to perform in this role.

An Art Director will be involved in all the key decisions regarding Art whether it be the type of Art taught in University or where Art should be placed in a gallery. You will need to have a creative but logical mind and be open to new ideas and works. You will also need excellent management and business skills.

I would like to apply for the role of Art Director which I have seen advertised in (which publication) and (when). Please find attached my up to date CV which details my skills and experiences.

I have a real passion for Art and always wanted to follow my dreams. I did a (what Art degree or route to this, at where and when) and (please provide more details about the course(s) that you did here).

Throughout my experiences I have also gained a great deal of business experience and management skills and feel that this combined with my Art knowledge that I would make an excellent Art Director.

I am a very creative person, I come up with new and innovative ideas and like to discuss and debate current issues to do with Art.

I am organised and thorough and I like to ensure that I manage my team well with an open door policy.
